I studied stained glass at Swansea College then gained experience at Pluscarden Abbey, The York Glaziers Trust, Glantawe Studio in Swansea and at John Hardmans Studio in Birmingham.
I have been working from my studio on Arran since 1996.
The work I do falls roughly into two groups:
1. Traditional Stained Glass
This involves the cutting, painting, staining, enamelling, leading and cementing, of either antique, hand blown glass or modern machine made or textured glass.
2. Float or Flat glass work
Using sandblast to produce light surface designs or to dig deeply into thick clear glass to give a 3D effect. Acid can

be used in combination with sandblast or as an etching agent on its own.
I generally work from my own designs but have enjoyed and gained much from successful collaboration with established artists and also from commissioned copies of existing windows or other art work.
